What would a world without theater look like to you? What would the world look like without theater? What would the world look like without hope, without dreams? And if it could exist, what would be the point? This question also comes before Easter, which for me means rebirth and renewal. Renewal also comes through theater, through which I can always be someone else and also the same Dragoș Dumitru, a visible Roma. I am part of the Roma community and I bring my contribution to the contemporary culture; through culture, in my case, I understand theater, film, artistic acts through which we Roma can be heard and seen.

He graduated from the National University of Theater Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest, with a degree in acting from Professor Mircea Rusu's class. Currently, he collaborates with the Bucharest National Theater ("Two Scratch Cards", "Biloxi Blues", "The Mut Parrot", "The Merchant of Venice"), and through the Amphiteatrrom Association he aligns himself with Roma theater performing in various shows directed by Sorin Sandu. He played the lead role in the film "Something good out of life" directed by Dan Pița and has collaborated with numerous theaters in the country and abroad - the Sică Alexandrescu theater in Cluj, the National Theater in Cluj or the Heimathafen Theater in Berlin.
